FC Barcelona have got their cup campaign off to a fine start. Despite going behind to a surprise early goal, they had FC Cartagena under absolute control and had worked their way back into the lead by half-time. They finished off the job with two more after the break. The many positives to take from this game included Jean Marie Dongou not only making his debut but also scoring his first goal for the first team, and Jordi Alba returning from injury to play 80 untroubled minutes. Overall it was a good game to watch even though it was against a second division team.
Welcome to La Liga, the best league in the world.

Loss
Neymar Junior
LOSS for Balbao
Barcelona played Athletic Bilbao today, if you didn't get a chance to watch it you didn't miss much. Barcelona didn't look very good in the beginning of the game, they couldn't get possession of the ball. The first half wasn't very fun to watch because nothing really happening. Barcelona started to string passes together towards the middle of the first half but they couldn't finish. The second half was the same story, Barcelona just didn't look like they wanted it. Overall i think Athletic Bilbao beat Barcelona fair and square, and it should be a lesson to learn from for the Barcelona player. This is Barcelona's second loss in a row.

Barcelona vs Real Valladolid
Things didn't get off to a good start for Barcelona, however. Javi Guerra surprisingly put Valladolid ahead in the 10th minute on a corner kick. Patrick Ebert delivered a gorgeous corner into the center of the box to assist the goal, finding Guerra as he peeled off his man before powering a header into the back of the net. It took Blaugrana just three minutes to respond. Barcelona Continued to dominate the game throughout the First half and second half resulting in a 4-1 thrashing of Valladolid.

Argentina
Clubs in la liga go on international break. During this break all the players go back to their native country to play for the national side. Not all players get called back for international duty, its only if you make the cut, and most of the Barcelona players are from Spain and play for the national side. Players like Messi, Mascherano, Dani alves and Neymar play for different countries, Messi and Mascherano play for Argentina, Dani Alves and Neymar went back to Brazil to play for their national side.

Spain vs Belarus
Clubs are still on International break, Since most of the Barcelona team plays for Spain lets talk about spain for a minute. Spain has been in very good form and are considered to be the best side in the world today. Spain won the 2010 world cup and made it look easy. This Spanish side is full of superstars from two main club which also happen to be the two best clubs in the world: Real madrid and Barcelona. Vicente del Bosque's holders had to endure a frustrating 60 minutes against Georgi Kondratiev's side, who are bottom of Group 1, until Xavi broke the deadlock with a shot from the edge of the area, and Negredo put Spanish minds at ease with a headed goal on 77 minutes. It was a good hard fought game.

Spain vs Venezuela
Argentina beat Venezuela 3-0 in South American World Cup qualifying on Thursday night, with Gonzalo Higuain and Lionel Messi central to the side's success. With the Real Madrid forward contributing two goals and Messi on target from the penalty spot, the Vino Tinto were little match for the talents of their Argentine rivals.Victory sees Argentina continue their smooth path toward World Cup qualification, while casting further shadow on Venezuelan dreams of a debut appearance at football's biggest showcase.

Spain vs Brazil
This game was a huge surprise for everyone to watch, it was a good game to watch because of the uncertainty. Spain are the worlds best team and are reigning champions, and no one expected this result. The game started out pretty good with Spain controlling the first 15 20 minutes of the game. Brazil started to attack a lot more throughout the first half and then continued to put a lot of pressure on Spain resulting in a huge victory. Fred scored two goals and Neymar scored one to lead Brazil to a 3-0 victory over Spain and win the 2013 Confederations Cup

Barcelona vs Osasuna
This wasn't a very fun game to watch because the scoreline was 0-0 but there were a few good moments in the game. Barcelona failed to match La Liga's best ever start to a season with this tie. Barcelona lacked sharpness in their playing/passing they were a little off their game and didn't really look like they wanted to play but credit must be given to Osasuna for staying with Barcelona and earning a point giving Barcelona their fist tie of the season.

Barcelona vs Ac Milan
Messi had not scored in his past three matches in La liga but he broke the deadlock against the Italian giants after half an hour from the penalty spot. Sergio Busquets doubled Barca's lead 10 minutes later and although Gerard Pique's own goal gave Milan hope, Messi settled matters in the closing stages by scoring another goal. The Result moves the Catalan club six points ahead of third placed Ajax with a far superior goal difference, while Milan endured their worst start to Serie A in 31 years.

Do you guys think la liga is a 2 team league?
EL CLASSICO
This week i want to talk about the CLASSICO coming up on saturday. For those of you who don't know what the classico is, its between Barcelona and Real madrid the two best teams in the world. Every classico between these two rivals is a must watch for any soccer fan. I'd love to hear some predictions and thoughts before the game and we can have a discussion after. VIVA LA BARCA!

Barcelona vs Celta Vigo
Barca stay top of the league after defeating a valiant Celta side at Balaidos. Even without players of the calibre of Pique, Xavi, Iniesta, and Neymar, Barca were fantastic right from the start, with Alexis finding the target once again to put his side into the lead. An own goal and another from Cesc eventually made it 3-0, which was a severe blow for Celta manager Luis Enrique and other familiar faces in Fontas, Rafinha and Nolito, who had taken a daring approach to the game but were ultimately thwarted by a technically superior side.
November 1 2013
Barcelona vs Espanyol
Barca had to wait until the 68th minute to break down their city rivals when Sanchez was left with a simple tap-in after clever work from Neymar. It was a rare incisive moment from Barca but enough to ensure they opened a four point gap at the top of the Primera Division ahead of this weekends fixtures.
November 6 2013
Barcelona vs Ac Milan
This game was the second round of the champions league between these two teams, the first round Barcelona beat AC Milan 3-1. The game started out very good for both teams. AC Milan took an early lead against Barcelona at the San Siro, with Robinhos goal putting the Italian squad ahead. barcelona soon replied, however, with Lionel Messi producing a typical, classy finish for the equalizer
November 10 2013
Barcelona vs Real Betis
Real Betis Estadio Benito Villamarin ground was, as expected, packed full for the visit of Barcelona. A trip to this part of Andalusia is always a test for any visiting team, and Pepe Mel wasn't going to allow some disappointing form get in the way of how he would set his stall out in this one. Tata Martino continues to just "get on with it." As we approach mid-November, a pragmatic approach to every game has seen him yet to lose a game of any description. A quite astonishing statistic.
November 13 2013
Barcelona vs Granada
Barcelona continued their unbeaten start to the seasons by dispensing with Granada to the tune of a 4-0 scorline. Two penalties in the first half set the tone for an easy win, with Alexis Sanchez and Pedro crowning it with second half goals. The game started in explosive fashion as Sanchez, skipped a few challenges and fired goalward inside the first minute. It set the tone for the half, as Barca's direct running would cause consistent problems for a slow Granada midfield on the turn and expose a questionable defensive line. Goalkeeper Roberto was forced into three genuine saves inside the first seven minutes, but despite the home side's dominance on the statistical shed, clear-cut chances were few and far between.
November 16 2013
Barcelona vs Athletic Balbao
Iker Muniain was four years old the last time Athletic Balbao defeated Barcelona. Thanks to the 20 year olds goal in the 70th minute, that streak of dominance is over as Athletic Club defeated Barca, 1-0, at the new San Mames. Athletic Club pressured hard from the opening window but it was only a matter of time before that aggressive style opened up space for Barcelona to exploit. In the 12 minute the Bulgrana nearly opened the scoring when Andres Iniesta fed a lovely through ball to Alexis Sanchez, who couldn't quite handle the pass. Neymar followed up, thought, jumping on the loose ball and firing a rising shot that was tipped over the cross bar by Gorka Iraizoz. Muniain had an excellent chance to give the home side a lead in the 29th minute after Markel Susaeta's cross into the Barca box was deflected by Iniesta and curled behind the defensive line. Muniain snuck in from the far post but his toe poke attempt was smothered by Joe Manuel Pinto.
November 19 2013
Barcelona vs Malaga
A first half strike from Adriano ensured a lackluster Barcelona secured a narrow 1-0 win over Malaga on Sunday evening. The defender's goal towards the end of the first period meant Barca extended their 100% league start. A fine save by willy Cabllero tipped Gerard Pique's effort on to the crossbar as Barca pushed for a second that failed to materialize, although by the end they were thankful for a late Victor Valdes save that ensured they claimed all three points.
November 23 2013
Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid
This was a good game to watching it started out very explosive for both sides. Ateltico Madrid has been having a great season so far domination every team they played. This is one of the best starts to a season in a long time for Atletico. Both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid sit tied on top of the league with 28 points each. Atletico Madrid were very physical and played like they had something to prove. The game ended up in a 0-0 tie proving that these two teams belong on top of the table.
November 26 2013
Barcelona vs Levante
The Catalan side took less than three minutes to open the scoring through Alexis Sanchez and before half and hour had been played Lionel Messi, Dani Alves, and Pedro were all on the scoresheet too. By halftime Messi had bagged a double from the penalty spot and Xavi had struck, too. Barca eased off in the second period, with Pedro completing the scoring midway though the period.
November 28 2013
Barcelona vs Celtic
Barcelona avoided a second champions league loss at Celtic Park in as many years by capturing a narrow 1-0 victory over 10-man Celtic after Cesc Fabregas headed him in the 76th minute. Celtic, which overcame Barcelona 2-1 in last season's competition, created the better chances for much of the encounter, but the hosts were left to rue captain Scott Brown's dismissal, which came for kicking out at Neymar.
MESSI vs RONALDO
Hello, this week i would like to talk about Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. To me these two players are the best in the world. If i had to choose who's the overall best i would say Messi only because he's a more decisive player, im not saying Ronaldo isn't a decisive player but he's not like Messi.
Tell me what you think about these two players and who you think is at the pinnacle of football. I would like a few reasons why you think Messi or Ronaldo is better. Two reasons why i think Messi is better is because like i said before he's a more decisive player and can change games at any time. My second reason just watch him play and look at all of the records he broke in the past year. Oh and for the madristas this isnt a beauty contest haha im talking about skills.
Lionel Messi had a thigh injury and had to be subbed out. It was later ruled as a minor tear in his thigh muscle and is expected to be out for up to two months. This is bad news not only because he's out for the next two months but because we won't get to watch his magic for two months. Victor Valdes is out for up to 6 weeks with a calf injury. Dani alves hurt his right leg and is expected to bout for 2 weeks, and Xavi Hernandez is out for 2 weeks for a hamstring strain.
